Google Desktop is a state-of-the-art information hub from Google that runs right on a user's computer. In addition to its search features, Google Desktop sports a sidebar with various panels, including news, weather, traffic, stocks, movie showtimes, and a music player.

The Sidebar also supports plug-ins, or panels which aren't developed by Google, that users can download. These plug-ins are a perfect way to promote products, artists, or services by placing relevant information at users' fingertips. For example, we are working with Warner Brothers Records to develop a plug-in to promote one of their prominent artists. This Sidebar panel will show photos and news, and play sound clips.

Airbear Software is the foremost Google Desktop plug-in developer. We have developed more plug-ins than any other person or company. Also, out of the top five Sidebar plug-ins, two were developed by Airbear Software, while the other three were created by Google.
