get the runtimes from Microsoft.

What is VolumeKeys?
VolumeKeys is an easy to use but flexible application in which you assign hotkeys,
called VolumeKeys, to specified volume-related actions such as muting the
volume or increasing it 10%.
Hmm... I'm Confused. How do I use this program?
A good starting place is the topic The Main Window. From
there, see The
Add/Edit Window for information on managing VolumeKeys.
What is the Difference Between VolumeKeys and
a VolumeKey?
This program is called VolumeKeys. Whenever you read the word VolumeKeys,
it refers to the application. However, a VolumeKey is the specific hotkey
and the action associated with it.
What is the feature you're always talking about
called Easy on the Ears?
Easy on the Ears is a special feature that allows for gradual changes in
volume. This setting can be used for both changing the volume and muting
it. For example, if the volume is set at 75% and you press a VolumeKey
that mutes the volume using Easy on the Ears, the volume will go from 74%,
to 73%, to 72%, etc. until it reaches 0%, or muted. The speed at which
the volume changes is set on the options tab (see The Options Tab).
I Think I Found A Bug or an Error in Documentation.
What Should I Do?
We've done our best, but there probably are typos in this help file and minor
bugs in the program. Don't worry, however, because these bugs will never
harm your system ... they'll just make VolumeKeys do strange things or not
work at all. If you found a bug or error, please contact us through our contact
page @ http://www.airbearsoftware.com/contact.
Who/What is Airbear Software?
Airbear Software is the computer services business that I run in my free time.
We write programs, design web sites, and do tons of other digital activities.
Also, we run a Los Angeles based program called Computers for LA Kids (we
often shorten the name) , in which we collect used computers, fix them, and
redistribute them to students in the Los Angeles area who could not otherwise
afford them. For more information, visit us @ http://www.airbearsoftware.com/c4k or
drop us an email @ http://www.airbearsoftware.com/contact.
Lastly, you may have noticed that I use "we," "I," and "Airbear Software"
interchangeably. This is because Airbear Software is a one man show run by
me, Aaron Feuer. However, saying we makes me feel Airbear Software is bigger
and more important than it actually is :).
How Do I Uninstall VolumeKeys?
While we are sad that you should choose to uninstall VolumeKeys, that is your
choice, not ours. To uninstall VolumeKeys, use the shortcut in the VolumeKeys
start menu group or uninstall it using the Add/Remove Programs applet in
the Windows control Panel.
I just muted the volume, and now I go to increase the volume, but nothing happens. What is going on?
Muting and the volume level act independant of each other. Even when the speakers are muted, the volume level can still be adjusted, but will have no effect as muting takes precedence over the volume level. To hear the changes made to the volume level, unmute the speakers.
