The Options Tab
VolumeKeys has a number of configurable options:
Load VolumeKeys on Windows Startup
If this option is selected, VolumeKeys will run
every time you start Windows.
Show the Configuration Screen When VolumeKeys Starts
If this option is selected, every time VolumeKeys
starts, the configuration screen will automatically be shown. Otherwise, VolumeKeys
will start silently.
Easy on the Ears Speed
Sets how fast or slowly the volume is changed when
Easy on the Ears enabled. Clicking test will show you an example of what muting/unmuting
will sound like with the Easy on the Ears speed set to whatever you entered.
More Information:
Easy on the Ears is a special feature that allows for gradual changes in volume. For example, if the volume is set at 75% and you press a VolumeKey that mutes the volume using Easy on the Ears, the volume will go from 74%, to 73%, to 72%, etc. until it reaches 0%, or muted.
Check for Updates
Sets whether VolumeKeys
will check for updates every time it is started. Clicking Check now will immediately
check for updates. Note: there is no acknowledgement if there are no available
updates or an error occurs.
